Without love there are no joys of tomorrow

Everyone is on the same treacherous journey of life’s tainted glory.

Our experience are different yet the same. We are in control, we have a plan, we are disappointed, we get hurt, we are loved we feel at home, we are rejected, we feel betrayed.

With life and its entanglements we find ourselves moving on without being one with the journey. We move with our mind onto tomorrow. We can’t wait to get there. It’s almost as if today is non existent on our itinerary.

Today becomes yesterday and we reminisce over it only on the parts that made our hearts leap. We got what we wanted or deserved, or a great surprise. We felt life is fair because it dealt with us justly, or rather it favoured us. We move past yesterday avoiding a thought about its events; when we got disappointed, when life dealt with us unfairly, when hurtful things has happened.

I am learning that the pressure on my chest about yesterday, that makes me avoid thoughts or chats that have passed mask a shameful moment. I am ashamed that these things really happened to me. Truth is though, when I keep on ignoring every painful thing about yesterday I will never truly heal. The pain will remain a fresh wound. It will hurt again and again until I can talk about it, until I can slow my thoughts down and seek to understand that that’s part of this human’s experience. It doesn’t speak less of me. With acceptance comes understanding and understanding is friends with peace. Enlightenment: spiritual advancement.

I think when they said time heals, they meant when you make time to sit down with the pain, allowing self to learn about it, asking about it and accepting it for what it is__ it then becomes what was.

Disappointments, pain, anger, bitterness, hate all comes after love. They are a shadow of love. You are disappointed because you were hoping for better. Hope is a symptom of love, passion and light. You are hurt because you were open to it, looking forward to it. You are angry , bitter because you expected more. That is; more honesty, more reciprocity, more loyalty, more kindness, more thoughtfulness, more support, more love.

In the absence of love is a desert, without water without life. I get it now; when they said ‘stay young at heart’ they meant look forward to life even after the storms. Keep trying again and again and again, eventually you get it and you get it right.

An alignment conversation πŸ₯°πŸ˜Œ

Sometimes, the best way to discover what you truly love is to look back at your younger self. Before the influence of society, teachings, and expectations shaped your perspective, your younger self knew the raw, honest truth about your passions. Reconnecting with that inner voice can reveal what genuinely sparks joy and purpose inside you beyond all the noise and external opinions. In this blog, I’ll share how who I am passionate about now is deeply connected to that authentic, childlike clarity, in the form of a prayer rooted in assurance and hope for what seemed like a far future then. One thing about this guy, he’s fulfilled every genuine, unselfish request I ever made to God about adult love. When I was 11, I prayed for a life partner, a best friend really, trusting that when the time was right and I was older and ready, I’d find someone special. Now, being with you feels exactly like what I imagined during those prayers, like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be, living out the best ...

Am not running out of time

Looking back at my life, I realise I’ve always started early. I began Grade 1 at the age of 5, started university at 17, and bought my first property at 23. I enjoyed the fact that people noticed I was the youngest in class, and I worked hard to be among the top 10 students at school. This drive really began when I chose my subjects and followed my commitment to excelling or should I say, slaying in life. In June 2024, I made the brave decision to leave my job because I chose myself and my health over demanding work. My career requires me to constantly pour into others, and most of the time I had to fake being well and energetic, even on days when I was crumbling inside. I remember one day vividly: I had just returned from external moderation, exhausted, with a badly swollen eye from allergies my eye was barely open. Yet, I still went straight into a parents’ meeting at 16:00, showing up as if nothing was wrong, despite the obvious. That’s who I’ve been all my life: pushing through, be...

Midweek Me-Time✨πŸ˜ƒ

During my first year, I was too broke to indulge much, so this phenomenon really took shape in my second year.   There was this chocolate chip cookie I used to buy from Treats store 🏬 on campus, paired with rum and raisin ice cream. I was living my best life! Those were the good old days when I rewarded myself for studying.  Now, I plan to adopt a reward system for working out, submitting assignments, and completing exams. For work, I think I’ll create a midweek wellness date to celebrate reaching the middle of the week and to encourage myself to finish the week feeling happier and more courageous. When i start working again, of course.  I am feeling excited to be where my feet are, to truly live.  Budget friendly Ideas by chatgpt Coffee Shop Treat : Grab your favorite coffee or tea and a small pastry.
