What do i need right now? Show up/ Hide

Life is about being present. To live then is an activity of being here. We show up everyday because we are here, to date. Showing up can be explained as taking any action no matter what that looks like. It is going to school, going to work, meeting academic or work deadline, honoring appointments with friends or self, attending family events or showing up for scary stuff like surgery. We always show up and we are either inclined when doing it or disinclined.

When we are inclined to show up we are passionate, we are intentional. When we are disinclined we are tired and would rather not be here (work, school, completing assignments, meeting family or friends or going for surgery). Most of the times we are solving problems, we are serving, life in its form asks this from us. Priorities, needs and expectations determine for us the how part.

Most days we are invested and authentic in our daily responsibilities, we bring in our full A game. However, some days we present ourselves with shaking knees and mental instability, because being here is what we do. We are here to assist in the process of growth. Growing self and others. Adhering to The expectations and doing what seems right.

A show is a good beautiful show

Big Thanks for super warm days, days we are not pretending to be winning but actually winning. Life is but a balance...

Any show is a good show; when we desire to and when we dragging ourselves. It is good, and most beautiful when it is 'a trying day'. Trying to show up at school, show up at work, show up for family or friends, show up for therapy, and show up for surgery.

And when we have been trying: showing up even when its difficult it is important to stop between moments and acknowledge this about ourselves; that we are doing this the best way we can at present, and its stunning.

The balance

Sir Joseph Cambell once said "Life is without meaning. You bring the meaning to it. The meaning of life is whatever you ascribe it to be. Being alive is the meaning." I think it is a quote worthy to be pondered upon in any way one chooses to.

Life commands balance, otherwise things fall apart, and we fall apart. I celebrate you for showing up and i encourage you to hide when its time, and surely the time does come.

Make time for self and listen. Everything and everyone matters BUT, only when you matter FIRST. Take a good care of yourself because you are here for something bigger than yourself.

An alignment conversation πŸ₯°πŸ˜Œ

Sometimes, the best way to discover what you truly love is to look back at your younger self. Before the influence of society, teachings, and expectations shaped your perspective, your younger self knew the raw, honest truth about your passions. Reconnecting with that inner voice can reveal what genuinely sparks joy and purpose inside you beyond all the noise and external opinions. In this blog, I’ll share how who I am passionate about now is deeply connected to that authentic, childlike clarity, in the form of a prayer rooted in assurance and hope for what seemed like a far future then. One thing about this guy, he’s fulfilled every genuine, unselfish request I ever made to God about adult love. When I was 11, I prayed for a life partner, a best friend really, trusting that when the time was right and I was older and ready, I’d find someone special. Now, being with you feels exactly like what I imagined during those prayers, like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be, living out the best ...

Am not running out of time

Looking back at my life, I realise I’ve always started early. I began Grade 1 at the age of 5, started university at 17, and bought my first property at 23. I enjoyed the fact that people noticed I was the youngest in class, and I worked hard to be among the top 10 students at school. This drive really began when I chose my subjects and followed my commitment to excelling or should I say, slaying in life. In June 2024, I made the brave decision to leave my job because I chose myself and my health over demanding work. My career requires me to constantly pour into others, and most of the time I had to fake being well and energetic, even on days when I was crumbling inside. I remember one day vividly: I had just returned from external moderation, exhausted, with a badly swollen eye from allergies my eye was barely open. Yet, I still went straight into a parents’ meeting at 16:00, showing up as if nothing was wrong, despite the obvious. That’s who I’ve been all my life: pushing through, be...

Midweek Me-Time✨πŸ˜ƒ

During my first year, I was too broke to indulge much, so this phenomenon really took shape in my second year.   There was this chocolate chip cookie I used to buy from Treats store 🏬 on campus, paired with rum and raisin ice cream. I was living my best life! Those were the good old days when I rewarded myself for studying.  Now, I plan to adopt a reward system for working out, submitting assignments, and completing exams. For work, I think I’ll create a midweek wellness date to celebrate reaching the middle of the week and to encourage myself to finish the week feeling happier and more courageous. When i start working again, of course.  I am feeling excited to be where my feet are, to truly live.  Budget friendly Ideas by chatgpt Coffee Shop Treat : Grab your favorite coffee or tea and a small pastry.
